English Lessons & Courses/Workshops

English lesson/workshop will be online over Zoom. (We can discuss the possibility of in-person sessions if you are interested in consulting, workshops, corporate packages, or teacher mentoring.)

60 minutes. (Please be on time. We will start and stop at the scheduled times.)

No. The lessons are only for the student who buys the lessons. (You buy them. You use them.)

As a company, we focus on working with adults who are at least 18 years old. (Please contact Stardust English regarding younger learners.)

You can decide during the consultation. Your instructor can plan lessons with or without homework.

You can decide. If you would like to use textbooks for your lessons, you can discuss that during the consultation. (The lead instructor can tell you which books to buy for the skills that you want to practice.) 

Some courses (live courses and courses facilitated through an online learning management system) will require the purchase of textbooks. For those courses, course descriptions will indicate which textbooks are required. 

Yes! You and your friend must attend each lesson at the same time. Studying with a friend can be fun, and you can save money! (Please see the Pricing page for Group Lessons.)

If one person needs to reschedule, then we need to find a new time for everyone to attend at the same time. If one student cancels less than 24 hours in advance, the meeting will still happen with the other student. (This will be a missed lesson for the student who cancels.)

No. Stardust English can help you to improve the skills that are useful on tests in general, but Stardust English does not offer test preparation training for the TOEFL, IELTS, or similar tests.

Scheduling Lessons and Packages

You can discuss that during the consultation. It will depend on availability. (Most students have one or two lessons per week.)

*For a package of 5 lessons, the lessons must be scheduled within 2 months.

*For a package of 10 lessons, the lessons must be scheduled within 3 months.
(Example: If you buy a package of 10 lessons on April 25, 2022, all 10 lessons must happen before July 25, 2022.)

Cancellations, Lateness, and Other Policies

If you need to cancel a lesson, you must contact Stardust English at least 24 hours
before your scheduled lesson. (We will do our best to reschedule. If we cannot reschedule it before your package time period ends, you will lose the lesson from your package. We can only reschedule up to one lesson per package of lessons. For any additional cancelled lessons, you will lose the lesson from your package.)

If you cancel less than 24 hours before a lesson, you will lose the lesson from your package.

If your instructor needs to cancel a lesson within 24 hours of the scheduled lesson, you can reschedule it within 3 months. (You will also get 30 minutes to add to that lesson or to schedule as a mini-lesson.)

If your instructor needs to reschedule a future lesson, you will receive an email at least 3 days before the scheduled lesson. (Your instructor will work with you to find a new time for that lesson. You will not lose it from your package.)

Group Lessons: If one student cancels less than 24 hours in advance, the meeting will still happen with the other student. (This will be a missed lesson for the student who cancels.)

Each lesson will start at the scheduled time, so try to be early. After 15 minutes, you will lose the lesson.
(Example: If you are 10 minutes late, you will only get 50 minutes of your lesson. If you are 15 minutes late, you will lose the lesson from your package.)

Be respectful and ready to learn! (Disrespectful or aggressive students will not be welcome to sign up for more lessons with our company.)

It is best to use a computer or a tablet during lessons. (Phones can have more problems.)

Try to prevent technology problems. Before each lesson, please restart your computer/tablet. If you can, try to ‘power cycle’ your modem. (You can check the Internet to learn how to do this, or you can ask about it during the consultation.) It is best if other people are not streaming videos on the same Wi-Fi connection during your lesson.

If there is an Internet connection problem during a lesson, we can try to fix it or change devices. If we need to stop a lesson before 30 minutes, then we can reschedule the remaining time as a mini-lesson. If the connection problem starts after 30 minutes, then we will end the session.

Payments and Discounts

PayPal. You can use your PayPal account or a credit card to pay on PayPal. You will receive an invoice (bill) in an email from Stardust English, and you must pay it within 24 hours.

Yes! You can save money if you buy packages of 5 or 10 lessons. You can save money with group lessons. (Please see the Pricing page.)
